This year, Justice in Aging launched a new project to build the capacity of national and state advocates to inform policies affecting how people dually eligible for Medicare and Medicaid receive their care.

As part of this project, we are developing educational resources and trainings for advocates across the country on Dual Eligible Special Needs Plan (D-SNPs). To support advocates in shaping state-level policies related to D-SNPs, we have produced D-SNP at a Glance factsheets for each state.

These factsheets provide an overview of the state’s D-SNP landscape, including the number and characteristics of people who are dually eligible in the state. The factsheets also include state-based resources on D-SNPs. We are also providing targeted support and technical assistance on D-SNPs in ten select states.
