Beginning in 2024, Shelby’s role at Justice in Aging provides technical support and applies a strategic and creative approach to the educational programming of Justice in Aging and the National Center on Law and Elder Rights (NCLER). Shelby is passionate about learning about other cultures, learning from and serving others, and is excited to do so through the focus and commitment to equity fostered by Justice in Aging.
Shelby holds a Bachelor of Arts in Global Studies, Minors in Spanish and International Relations from Missouri State University. Shelby's past role at an organization that advocates for long-term care residents and older adults, where she led educational programming by planning and hosting in-person and online events for a wide audience of stakeholders. It was through this work that Shelby discovered her enthusiasm for education and training alongside policy and advocacy, which she is thrilled to bring to the team at Justice in Aging.
Outside of work, Shelby enjoys crafting playlists, exercising, playing volleyball, studying Spanish, and exploring St. Louis.
