Noelle joined Justice in Aging in 2024. In their role, they support overall financial health and operational efficiency in order to ensure the day-to-day functioning of the organization runs smoothly. Noelle loves looking at systems, moving between the big picture and the small details, in order to make systems work for people - not the other way around.
Noelle has been involved in community organizing efforts in the DMV since 2016 and saw how important intergenerational relationships are to the broader health of their community. They also have seen how homophobia and transphobia strip people of their dignity, especially as they age and during end-of-life care. They are excited to be working with Justice in Aging because the mission resonates with their conviction that our elders are precious to our communities and that building a world that works for the most marginalized will benefit us all.
Noelle holds a Masters of Arts in Middle East and Islamic Studies and a Bachelor of Arts in Global Affairs, concentrating in Responses to Global Inequalities, from George Mason University.
Noelle is based in Baltimore, Maryland and spends their time outside of work writing, learning to bake with their wife, and training their dog. They are passionate about using research for community organizing and studying the intersections of decolonization, queerness, and Islamic history.
