Communications & Brand Manager

Emma oversees the Justice in Aging brand across all mediums and platforms, including creating print materials for annual campaigns and visual elements for social media and the web. Emma enjoys working with attorneys to create compelling visual materials that help advance Justice in Aging’s advocacy and tell impactful stories about the need for policy reforms. Emma supports Justice in Aging communications, including the writing and dissemination of alerts sharing vital resources with a network of over 30,000 advocates, and the production of free webinar trainings that provide critical tools to advocates nationwide on health and economic security programs. Emma is interested in web accessibility and ensures that all Justice in Aging materials are accessible to the broadest audience. Emma first became drawn to working on behalf of low-income older adults as a young adult watching her grandmother, who immigrated to the United States, navigate the Medicare program as a non-native English speaker.

Emma graduated from Brandeis University with a BA in Sociology and is currently a student in the evening program at American University Washington College of Law in Washington, DC, class of 2025. She also holds a certificate in Graphic Design for Organizing from Social Movement Technologies. Prior to joining Justice in Aging, Emma worked as a Case Assistant/Paralegal for several Bay Area attorneys. When she has free time, Emma enjoys cooking for her partner, making ceramics, and tending to a growing collection of house plants.
