This "Kaleidoscope with Allison Keyes" segment, which airs within the "CBS News Roundup," featured Executive Director Kevin Prindiville talking about the biggest challenge older adults and their families are facing, and what they need to hear from politicians.
"Older people are needing care from family, loved ones, and paid workforce. They are providing care to spouses and other family members. They want politicians to talk about creating and investing in our care systems. We don't have in this country a long-term care system that is easy to access and affordable to Americans. This is becoming much more of a kitchen table issue for families across the country. That's care from childcare to elder care. The communities we talk to want politicians to talk about care, recognize care and have a plan for how we can create a more supportive care policy in this country."
