Letter to the Los Angeles Homeless Services Authority Regarding Policy of Denying Project Roomkey Services to Individuals with Disabilities

In this letter, the Los Angeles Aging Advocacy Coalition notifies the Los Angeles Homeless Services Authority (LAHSA) that its policy and practice of denying access to Project Roomkey for homeless individuals who need help with Activities of Daily Living or have other disabling conditions does not comply with state and federal civil rights laws. The letter requests a meeting and asks LAHSA to revoke the discriminatory and unlawful policy, and take other measures to mitigate the damage. Read the letter
