Older Immigrants

Due to systemic injustices and life-long discrimination, certain populations of older adults face barriers in accessing the care they need, and suffer poorer health as a result. Justice in Aging believes every person has a right to access healthcare without discrimination and in their own language. Over the past few years we have focused on fighting against the Trump Administration’s cruel “Public Charge” rule, as well as the rollback of civil rights protections in health care settings that were enacted in Section 1557 of the Affordable Care Act (ACA).
