Justice in Aging logo, "Fighting senior poverty through law."

Nursing facility residents deserve high quality, person-centered care that meets their individual needs.

Unfortunately, weak oversight at the state and federal levels often leads to poor care, insufficient staffing, and sometimes serious and dangerous violations of residents’ rights.

Justice in Aging advocates for stronger federal protections, including pushing the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) to improve regulatory standards and inspection procedures. Through written resources, training, and individual consultations, Justice in Aging educates professionals and consumers on how to advocate for rights and bring about broader systemic improvements.
