This webinar took place on Wednesday, April 19, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. PT

Low Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC) properties provide below-market rate rental housing to thousands of Californians. Yet the rules surrounding who is eligible to live in LIHTC housing, income certifications, rent calculations, unit accessibility, when you can be asked to move to a different unit and evictions are often shrouded in mystery. This webinar, Tenants’ Rights in the California Low-Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC) Program, will provide an overview of the tenant protections and rules that do and don’t apply to LIHTC housing in California. By the end of this session, participants will understand how to enforce tenant rights and protections under the LIHTC program, and analyze and deploy common defenses for individuals living in LIHTC units.

One hour of CLE credit will be available for this training. Attendees can contact Jennifer Pardini, Community Education Coordinator at Legal Assistance for Seniors to request their Certificate following attending the training.
