But there’s a fix for that.
Last week Assemblymembers Arambula and Wood introduced AB 1900, which would raise the amount people can retain for basic needs from $600 to 138% of the poverty level, and make a huge difference in the monthly budgets of low-income older adults and people with disabilities.
