Changes to SSI In-Kind Support and Maintenance & Overpayment Policies

This video is the first in a short series on improvements the Social Security Administration is implementing to improve its programs and customer service for the people who rely on Supplemental Security Income (SSI) and other benefits, or wish to apply for them.

• Update 11/25: SSA updated a number of overpayment policies, including to begin from a neutral position when determining fault, update situations where SSA will presume an inability to repay, and update the financial criteria for obtaining waiver of an overpayment.
